Two trail running pioneers, \u00c9v\u00e9nements Harricana and UTMB World Series, join forces to create Bor\u00e9alys Mont-Tremblant by UTMB<\/p>\n
Mont-Tremblant, Tuesday, August 26, 2025<\/strong>\u00a0\u2014\u00a0UTMB World Series<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0\u00c9v\u00e9nements Harricana<\/strong>\u00a0are joining forces to create\u00a0Bor\u00e9alys Mont-Tremblant by UTMB<\/strong>, a brand-new event that will join the prestigious world circuit in 2026. This collaboration combines the local expertise of Canada’s trail running leader with UTMB’s international reputation.<\/p>\n Bor\u00e9alys<\/strong>\u00a0will present its inaugural edition from\u00a0August 14-16, 2026<\/strong>\u00a0in the magnificent setting of Mont-Tremblant. As the only UTMB World Series event east of the Canadian Rockies, the competition will offer an immersive experience combining personal achievement, Quebec culture, and community engagement.<\/p>\n Bor\u00e9alys will offer** four qualifying events for HOKA UTMB Mont-Blanc (100K, 50K and 2 x 20K races)**, an\u00a080km relay race<\/strong>\u00a0in support of two social causes, a\u00a05km even<\/strong>t and a kids’ race. The demanding courses, typical of the Laurentian mountain range, will lead runners through\u00a0rugged, technical, and wild terrain marked by rocks, roots, steep ascents, and dense boreal forest<\/strong>. All of this under the intense heat of August. Bor\u00e9alys promises an intense physical challenge and a total immersion in Qu\u00e9bec\u2019s landscapes.<\/p>\n The event draws inspiration from the legendary chasse-galerie canoe tale, creating a unique collective narrative: a pact between runners and the boreal forest.
