A brand new 60 km for the UTHC
A Unique Partnership between Événements Harricana and MS Canada: The New 60 km, an Extraordinary Challenge
La Malbaie, January 28, 2025
The Ultra-Trail Harricana of Canada is proud to introduce its brand-new 60 km Harricana, a one-of-a-kind race that pushes the boundaries of trail running by focusing on adventure, solidarity, and personal achievement. With only 60 exclusive bibs available, this event offers a unique opportunity to take on one of the most demanding courses in Canada, while supporting a worthy cause: research for multiple sclerosis (MS).
A Challenge of Endurance and Solidarity
Participants will cover the first 60 kilometers of the legendary 125 km Harricana course, reputed to be one of the most stunning in Quebec. Each step and each summit will symbolize resilience, reflecting the daily struggles faced by those living with MS. The goal is not the podium but rather to beat the 13-hour cutoff and cross the finish line. There will be no official timing, only the challenge of completing the race within a set time limit.
A Lottery to Support the Cause
To secure a bib, runners must enter a lottery at a cost of 10 CAD per ticket, with no limit on the number of tickets, available starting January 28, 2025. The draw will take place on June 10, 2025, and all proceeds will be donated to MS Canada. The fundraising goal is 10,000 CAD, contributing to the symbolic one-million-dollar mark raised since the creation of the Harricana organization.
An Immersive and Collective Experience
Every selected runner will receive an exclusive bib and a secret kit delivered prior to the event, containing a mission that transforms this adventure into a collective quest. In 2025, Événements Harricana aims to offer an innovative, surprise-filled race that highlights perseverance and cooperation.
“We are extremely proud to launch this unique event that reflects our DNA and core values. Harricana was partly created to support MS research, a cause that has been close to our hearts from the beginning. This 60 km is more than just a race; it is a human adventure, a collective quest built on resilience and solidarity, filled with surprising elements that will provide participants with an unforgettable experience. There will be plenty of surprises in store—they won’t believe their eyes!”

MS Canada: A Cause That Affects Us All
Canada has one of the highest rates of multiple sclerosis worldwide. This chronic autoimmune disease primarily affects young adults and can impact vision, mobility, and memory. Nearly 75% of those affected are women, and approximately 12 new diagnoses occur every day in Canada. Événements Harricana is proud to contribute to research and to improving the quality of life for those living with this disease.
Join the Adventure!
Lottery tickets will be available starting January 28, 2025, on the official Ultra-Trail Harricana website. Businesses and public figures wishing to get involved or contribute to the event are invited to contact the organization.
